Reflecting on the First Half of 2026

As we reach the halfway point of the year, we’re taking a moment to reflect with gratitude on all that has been accomplished together.
Over the past six months, we have reached more than 600 individuals and supported over 100 families through our monthly food bank distributions and welfare programmes. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a story, and each outreach has reminded us that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference.
Raven Foodbank distributions (Jan–Jun 2026):
- January: 15 families · 80 individuals
- February: 15 families · 66 individuals
- March: 15 families · 116 individuals
- April: Easter Party
- May: 13 families · 65 individualsÂ
- June: 17 families · 79 individuals
Total for 2026 so far: 75 families · 406 individuals across 5 monthly distributions
Plus, this year alone:- 1 Valentine’s Dinner sponsored (3 couples)
- 1 Easter Party hosted
- 1 person empowered through Raven Employment (full-time Accountant role secured)
This year also marked the beginning of the Raven Employment Initiative. While emergency support remains an important part of what we do, we believe lasting change comes through opportunity. With support including CV reviews, interview preparation, and employment connections, the initiative has already celebrated its first success as one beneficiary secured a role as an accountant, while others continue progressing through interviews.
We were also excited to launch Raven Health, expanding our commitment to supporting not only immediate physical needs but the long-term health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.
Beyond these initiatives, we’ve continued creating moments that bring people together. From our Valentine’s Dinner and Easter Celebration to our Children’s Day event, these gatherings have reminded families that they are seen, valued, and part of a community that cares.
Perhaps the greatest milestone of all has been the relationships we’ve built. Our beneficiaries have become family. Seeing them share our work, encourage others to seek support, and trust us with their stories has been one of the greatest privileges of this journey.
